Default installing moroso cai

I bought a moroso intake, but my question is with the block off plate that block the air filter from getting warm air from the engine bay. Am I supposed to drill holes into the fender? The plate doesn't really move around so I am not worried, but there is another little box that I think is for the headlights, that is now just floating around. It was bolted on top of the stock intake box. Do I have to drill holes for that and mount it somehwere? BTW it's a 97 trans am in case it's any different. I didn't think there would be any drilling with this but it's no big deal. I'm just curious if there's an easier way?

I had a 97 TA with a Moroso CAI, now a 97 SS with a M-CAI and I didn't mount my plate to the fenderwell, just left it setting there because it was a tight enough fit. Not sure on the little box you speaking of, what's in the box? post a pic if you can.

Exactly.
I think he is talking about the stock airbox.
You have to remove the entire stock air intake system up until the elbow.
The Air Filter of the Moroso fits down in the hole under the original airbox, and the plate it mounts too holds it there.

Just hand tighten the bolts and intake, its not going to go anywhere.

If you are talking about the little flat black box with the wires coming from it you can just set it there. mine is sitting right beside the intake..

Yeah, I'm talking about the little black box, I know it's for the headlights because I tried to turn my light on, but I had it disconnected and it didn't work. So, no has actually found a place to mount the black box?

I've already had it installed, that was simple, I was just wondering if I was maybe missing a part from the kit because I was missing the 3.5 inch coupler that connects the intake to the maf. I had to search all day for that part, because all the damn honda shops only had up to a 3 inch coupler max.

I double-sided taped my headlight control module to the fuse box.
