if its a 93 to 94 it might be the oil pressure sensor.

check this website out for more helpful info. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech1.html

the oil pressure switch is almost behind the motor, this sensor is near the steering knuckle, i broke it installing headers if that helps out.

Temp sender, which you'll probably notice no temp reading from your gauge. Thats the only sensor on the side of the block on the driver side.

Coolent Temp. Senser is the only one on that side. Besides the low oil Senser. Not unless you have the Knock Senser on that side for some reason. http://shbox.com/1/ks_2.jpg

But the temp. is on the head http://shbox.com/1/temp_sensor2.jpg

It is the oilsensor. I broke mine off doing the same thing. If we are talkinga bout the same thing, then it has a boot over the sensor and a heat wrap covering the wiring from the factory. It is a pretty cheap part at and parts store. Hope that helps.

hah I thought the temp sensor was on the block. Man, I haven't looked at an apart motor in too long :\ Makes sense now. I remember seeing the old school heads with the post style clip connector sensor

Sounds like low oil level to me. The pressure sender would be further back on the oil filter housing if that was it. Temperature sensor would be on the head, low oil would be in the pan.
