If the sensors in the front end of the car for the airbags go off do you have to buy new sensors? how hard is it to do all of this and does it require rerunning wires?

so turns out GM discontinued this sensor . . . . this is a sad day

 

I don't think you would have to replace the sensor as long as it wasn't damaged. I believe there is just the one sensor that is located right by the hood latch device.

Might try ebay as I know some people have been able to find them on there if you absolutly need one.

 

Not sure if they are the same or not, but I have all the sensors, brainbox, and airbags that I pulled of my 93 last year. Excess weight. Everything worked fine to my knowledge. Let me know if you are interested.
