Default NGK Iridium IX gap? *AND* what wires?

I picked up a set of NGK Iridium IX's today and don't know what to gap them at, or if they're good plugs for my application (close to stock). I also picked up a set of store-brand wires (Omnispark?) Should I return them and pick up something better? Or will they be fine?

never heard of them. I'd get rid of them and go to WS6store.com and get Accell 300+ wires. They are AWESOME and if your's likes to arc out the wires then it's a good investment to get them to stop. Gap on the plugs i believe should be about .045. But not 100%

I agree, ditch the wires. I never buy store brand for my stuff. Unless it needs something and I don't plan to keep either the vehicle or the part, for very long.

Some site said the MSD wires are the worst ones to get due to some factor about how they have too much resistance, or something.

No, that'd be the Taylor wires.

Regarding the plugs, they should be gapped from the factory. If you're a stock or near stock car, then a TR5 with a .050" gap should be great. Get a gap tool just to double check, but I'm pretty sure they should already be gapped.

You aren't suppose to gap the Iridium plugs.

So, don't touch them? They came up as stock replacements, so I'm assuming they're the correct heat range and all. But are the irridiums worth it? And about the wires... After taking a look at them I'm definately getting something else, lol. Man let me tell ya, I'm really not looking forward to this

Yeah, don't touch the plug gap. I haven't ran them in my lt1 but I had a set in a turbo car and there was a little bit of noticeable performance increase.
