1). What is your car used for? Daily driver, street warrior, street/strip, ect.
2). What are your goals? Looking for a certain ET, trap speed and or rwhp?
3). What is your budget? Can you spend $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, ect.
Don't forget that more power may in turn cause you to need to beef up the suspension, clutch, transmission, safety devices (if it will ever see a quarter mile track), rear end, ect.

You have 486 posts and you still don't have a clue on what section this question belongs in?
It SURE as hell does not belong in the General LSX Automobile Discussion.
So I am moving this to the LT1-LT4 Modifications.
Peace,
Craig.
You also have to look into the fact you're reaching the limits of your rear end.
What I'd do?
Get forged lower end, balanced, set it up for boost. Have your intake and heads ported to match and see if you can squeeze in some 2.02/1.60 valves. Get a came to suit the boost to replace your stock one and run distributorless to ditch that Opti.
The problem again is money. You've already said you're in a bit of a pickle. So with money in mind, I'd get injectors and a throttle body for now and mail order tune it. Since that dyno guy is taking you for a ride.

More boost!
