Default Better intake manifold for an LT1????

i currently have forced induction on my lt1..is there anything out there better than the current manifold i have besides the lt4?

because when you change manifolds on F.i. cars, its alot more air to equal alot more power. Or is the cast iron stock one fine as is?

Man, don't let whats-his-face (who doesn't like me, the B-Body 'know it all') see you praising the LT4 intake! He'll have a conniption fit!

I still am trying to push people to try the Edel LT1/4 intake

But realistically? Sheetmetal or LT-Sheetmetal (modified LTx+Sheetmetal)

your lt1 intake fully ported i would assume right? if not do that, it will help a good bit. as stated the sheet metal is best, but i have heard the new edelbrock intakes can be hogged out to flow quite well, but i can't confirm that or show anything to prove it, but i have heard that is what lloyd elliot has said about them.

The intake and heads are Alu lol. There's a guy on here who runs a LTx intake with a taller top welded on. It is probably Sheet Alu in that case, but everyone knows the term Sheetmetal, so it was just easier to say lol

I'd be very interested to see an improved upon LTx composite or carbon fiber intake. That would just be amazing looking!!!!

I'm curious, not that I'd ever have the money, but what are you running? PM me if you don't want it public. I'm sure it's spray, but still I'm curious That's insane amount of power.

I've seen a few cars and stories from the owners having picked up NOTICABLE gains in power by moving to a single plane intake with an elbow on it. That's going to be the most cost effective in terms of power to dollar vs. going with a sheet metal manifold.

True, but he hasn't even touched he motor. He has heads, cam, rotating assembly, TB all left to do.

Shoot, I'd leave the manifold alone then, or port it with he has the heads done.

heh He said he won't touch the heads *shrug* He wants to do a cam, so I said the intake is coming off ANYWAYS, might as well have it ported for a 58mm. And then gasket match them. Since he's running boost, there's no reason to not replace the head gasket with a better and new one. Since the head will be off, might as well gasket match it, if anything.

That's just my 2c
