Does anyone know if the LS1 lid on a LT1 will also work with the FTRA (Fast Toys) kit ? If so, do you think that there would be a appreciable gain from this type setup over the factory WS6 LT1 ram air setup ?

Ive got the FTRA on my setup...works well. But I wouldnt trade it out for the WS6 ram air setup...thats probably a better setup than the FTRA, IMO.

Does anyone have some pics of where they had to cut stock hood to make the lid fit? I want to see exactly how difficult it would be to do, and where exactly and how much I'd have to cut.

we were discussing this on LTXtech and most likely the LT1 WS6 airbox flows better than the LS1 airbox. the LS1 airbox would only be an upgrade for a regular 90 degree curved LT1 airbox or an LT1 SS

i don't think you can get more direct/cooler air than a box thats sealed to the hood

If you could find some smaller diameter K&N pod type filters you could make a dual system coming off the bottom of a ls1 lid/box down to the backside of the 2 fog light holes?
I cut the steel in that Brace out where the Fog Lights were to where it flows a good amount of Air in through the front of the Car right into the Radiator, and to the Lid, so it's always picking up the air infront of the Car. Pretty much a full-time CAI.

It's not much to cut, just the cross-bracing that is right above the Lid.

If you cut the cross-bracing on a bird hood, will the lid clear on the stock bird hood?

if you're asking if we'd like pictures (multmigs) of your setup , then sure why not.

OH, last night I bought the ls1 lower air box (radiator cover), so I'm gonna make this looks as stock as possible. I just need the ws6 hood now. LOL
