LT1 oil pressure limitations....
LT1 oil pressure limitations.... I just bought a 94 z28 with 67K miles. When I start it up cold, the oil pressure is about 40psi. As the engine heats up, the oil pressure drops to 20psi at idle, and about 30psi above 1500rpm.
Is that normal, or is it a little low? My 97 corvette idles at about 28psi on a hot motor. It is an LS1 though.
