would be the same as a v6 to v8 swap, engine wiring harness, computer, motor, mounts maybe the front k member and a new transmission or change out the input shaft on an M6.

383, LE3, and D1 should easily do the job. It sounds a lot more simple than it is, but that's the easiest recipe in a nutshell

You say that now. These types of builds get very expensive VERY fast.

My suggestion would be to do a Nitrous setup or a FI setup. Cubes, and artificial atmosphere.

wish I could say money wasn't a problem when I built mine. She's sitting around 550rwhp n/a and it'll be higher with the SuperVic and msd crab style distributor. Ironically I'm considering selling mine and getting into a new hobby just because I'm a little bored.

What he said.... wise words. To expand my reply, I spent $7k in a top notch all Callies forged 396, then the chassis, suspension, tranny, clutch, kmembers, aarms, yada yada yada...longgggggggggggggg list of good stuff. Sitting on about $26k+ and paid $11k for the car itself.

I'll piggyback that. My motor ALONE for my new build has cost over $13K (top shelf stuff like his). Add into that the Blower Kit ($4500), FAST XFI ($2200 all inclusive), and you can easily surpass the $20K mark without even touching the suspension or driveline.

imo the cheap way to do it would be forged stuff and a 300 shot.

A turbo is easiest on the motor, so I'de go that route. Tell him to call speedinc up they have a 900+rwhp turbo LT1.

Well, either stroker/heads/cam/150-200 shot or forced induction could get you there.

Since you have to build the motor either way, you could do an LSX swap, you have to replace a few more things with that though, and do some wiring.
