Something that dawned on me, does no one run a Neil Chance behind their LT1?

Seen a few guys with ATI converters but have never seen a Chance with an LT1.

For awhile one of the b-body vendors was selling Chance 12" converters at about a 2400 stall.

Most LT1 owners buy the cheapest possible parts for their cars so probably not many are.

What are you running right now? I picked a Chance up for my LS1 and realized I had never seen anyone with an LT1 run one.

I'm curious to know if anyone has tried out one of the new B&M Radial Tension flexplates.

Granted Chance is one of the best but 1100 dollars for a converter is a little steep for me.

It's an SFI 2.9 approved flexplate who's center is made from 4130 billet aluminum. Rated to 1,000HP. The main benefit: lighter weight.

The one I bought for LS1/TH-400 was his best one and it was over $1400.

Nice, but it only comes with in a 168 tooth. Has any tried to run a 168 tooth flexplate and long tubes?

I used a chance in my third gen. Marty Chance built one for my car and something inside gave way the first week it was in the car and screwed the whole transmission up. This was a high dollar 700r4 that was built for racing. He wouldn't cover the rebuild of the trans but did build a better converter for the car for the same price. It did suck though because of the time and money I was out for two rebuilds. When the car got a th350 I went with another brand.

His product died, took your trans with it, wouldn't cover the rebuild and then charged you for another converter?

Talk about shitty customer service

Dang. I hope this was an isolated incident? What level was it? How long ago was this?
