I'm not 100% sure, but I will verify on monday night. But they worked on my 92 chevy truck when I switched to leds

I was going to go buy them yesturday, but the parts department was closed at 1 pm yesturday. But today I'll be pulling my gagues to do my white overlays and tomorrow I'll go and get the twistlocks and let you guys know for sure if they will work, but knowing how GM uses parts I'm sure that the part # I gave above will work. The ford twistlocks worked perfectly in my 92 chevy truck when I switched to 194 blue leds

Sorry guys, I didn't know that so many people were interested in this. I did the mod on my truck about 4 years ago and never really gave it anymore thought than that.

Ok I'm going to go out to my parents house today and take the twistlocks out of my truck so I can get my car back together and verify if the twistlocks will work, but now that my guages are out I'm almost 100% sure that they will but give me until tonight and I'll let you guys know for sure.

BTW my dash pad is still in one piece *wipes sweat from forehead*

superbrightleds DOT COM Can't post a link as i'm not sure they are sponsors but you get the idea I bought a kit from LEDgages.com before but i didn't have enough and they weren't bright enough for me and had dead spots. I used those bulbs for the Turn signals and stuff. Then got the WLAN-5 LED bulbs on the site i first listed. The problem was they started to flicker and it drove me nuts. next i went to the 180* ones pictured on the last page and had REALLY good luck. You'll have to break the solder from the twist-lock bulbs and pull the 194's out and then bend up the tabs from the new bulbs and beng them over the connector and then solder them. That way they won't flicker or come loose and not light up. Just a good idea~Cole~

Ya they told me that I had them plugged in the wrong way. I'd love to know how you can sell a "kit" but not give what is needed.

Ok guys I got some really good news for you. The ford twistlocks work perfectly. I hope the part # is still current, but you can get the twistlocks at autozone (they are the 1/2" ones) but they are $3 each and I know that the ford ones are under $1 but I can't remember the exact price.

Anyway heres the pics I have from my project today....
The new overlays installed

Heres a pic with the ford twistlocks compared to the stock twistlocks

The 7 bulbs that will need to be replaced

I'll get some installed pics later tonight

Thanks man, they don't light up really bright at night, but the overlays don't lone up perfectly with the old #s but they are really close and you can still read the gauges. And now I don't have any lights blinding me at night anymore LOL, I took out the seat belt light, ABS Inop Light, ASR OFF, Brake, and a few more but I can't remember what they were.

BTW guys I made this diagram so you know what all of the lights light up...

I get some installed pics and some night shots later, but now I gotta go to work

Ordering new twist locks from ford easier cause you don't have to clean out the factory solder out of the original sockets or something? I'm sure I will solder the new sockets as that sounds by cole's experience will prevent issues.

You shouldn't need to solder anything if you use the Ford locks.

Ah ok thanks. Sounds like the route to go. Should be fun too, I love the looks on salespeople faces when you roll up into a Ford dealership in a loud *** Camaro.

Just be prepared to spend $3 each for the twist locks and ford has them for less than hald the price

I just got done work and I'm going out right now to take some pics so give me 15 minutes and I'll have the pics up. But if I wouldn't have done the overlays the guages would probably have been twice as bright but I don't really drive at night all that much and having white gauges to look at during the day was totally worth a little loss of light at night.
