Default New motor progress!

Heres some pictures my shop sent me of my engine being removed. The stock short-block couldn't handle a CC306 w/ supporting bolt ons so I'm having them build me a new short block that will handle it and then some.

Out with the busted old!

I *think* the stock motor spun a bearing. One day I was just cruising home and my dash lit up like a Christmas tree and I lost oil pressure. I immediately pulled over and was able to push the car home. I turned it on after I checked the oil and the usual stuff and it had an erratic idle with a tapping noise. So instead of figuring out all that jazz I went ahead and am having a forged motor built and installed.

The actual part of the engine bay that you can see is usually clean but underneath is just the stock LT1's under body lubrication system

It does look real sharp, even without the Badges. Nice Sleeper.

Only if the lope of the cam didn't give it away

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I can't wait to get the car back on the road. Its been too long.

I don't plan on doing much more to the car since I want to enjoy it for once instead of it always being down.

Thats my winter project since I def will not be driving the car over the winter. I just want it back on the road, so I'm taking a short-cut for the rest of the season.
