Default What do you think of this cam?

I was on the comp cams site and came across this custom grind for a 383...How will it do in a stock lt1? Can someone plug this into a desktop dyno and give me some info? How big of a stahl will it take? What kind of rpm will it turn? Or what kind of a gear change will I have to make...I plan to go with 3.73 but only have 3.23 for now, and 1.6 rockers...thanks any info would be helpful. lift...568 int...568exh...dur...275 int...275 exh...224...224...110 deg

It would prolly be o.k. I'd prefer something with split duration and lift but it would work. It's got a pretty tight lobe seperation though, that would make it a little choppy

I cant seem to get away from wanting to get the CC503...everything I have researched seems to be a great cam, I think it would prolly be a better choice, do you think so?

Yes, I think the cc503 would be better than that cam.

What motor are you putting a cam in, and what are all the supporting mods including the drivetrain? What are your goals with the cam, RPM range, driveability, gas millage, ect. It's Kind of hard to give you advice when we don't know anything about the car.

The mods I have are in sig. I want to be able to bracket race on the weekend like I do now, and be in the high 11 or low 12 range. I know that I will need to put a 2800 to 3200 stahl in and change gears to 3.73...then later down the line have some head work done. The motor is a 93 LT1. I want to keep the rpm range under 6400, since this is where I have heard that bearrings start to go away. Stock suspension under the car...gas milage I get 18/22 now, but 12/18 would be ok. Or do I throw it all to the side and go LE2 setup, as I am writing this I'm realizing thats kind of what the LE2 is...Right?
