since we are talking about rears, what is the main differences in 9inch from 12 bolt. I am pretty sure 9 inch is stronger, being m6 preffered. ( I am guessing it can take a bigger hit from launch)
97LT1: 12 bolt would be plenty strong enough for your car, even with an M6. The 9 inch is stronger, but it's also more expensive and heavier.
There's also the Dana S60, which is cheaper than both, heavier than both, but supposedly has less drivetrain loss than both. (both = 12 bolt and 9 inch)
I wanna know what size axles and what posi most people are going with.

Currie makes one too, but I believe you have to build it yourself.

the way that the torque arm mounts between the strange and moser 12 bolt unit is different as well, some suspension companies wont back their torque arm if it is used on the moser because it uses 4 bolts that are threaded in to the housing instead of two bolts that go through like the stock housing

ABS <--whats that 
Mine went out with the old motor setup, now I have no ABS, No traction Control, No emissions, but I still have the A/C 
But I don't drive my car in the rain, but I haven't had any problems at all with my car not having ABS but thats just me, everyone is different

The dana 60 is stronger than the 12 bolt and the 9 inch. 12 bolt ring gear is 8.875 inches, the 9 inch is 9 inches duh, and the dana 60 is 9.75 inches. Now do you you see why the dana 60 is stronger? The 9 inch does have 3 pinion bearings though which does help a lot, that is primarily why it is stringer than the 12 bolt wich only has 2 pinion bearings. Hope this clears all this up a bit.
