the third brake light can do that to your abs, yes. replace it.

make sure your other bulbs are in the right way

On Blazers and such, a faulty hazard switch can cause that exact problem. Don't know what car you have though.

Not quite the same problem I had but most of my issues were resolved by a once over in the fuse box. Some of mine were missing from previous ownership.

Do you need new sockets? I was trying to think why I put new sockets in my 94 T/A a few years ago....

Well I was thinking more a long the lines of bad wiring/connections in the factory sockets. I'm not much of an electrician though. What do you mean by hazard light solenoid? You mean the flasher?

I had to replace both of my 2 filiment sockets in the rear. after that all my lights worked great. They worked before hand though, just really slow and sometimes would stop.

The reason I ask. is cause I have dipshit friends who instead of buying the wiring harness, just cut out the factory harness, and spliced the wires to the new head unit. This caused many problems with the interior and exterior lighting. Just wanted to make sure you didnt make the same mistake....Sorry I couldnt help more.

alright guys. today i got wind of having a bad or screwed up headlight switch. possibly could be causing my problem. well, i take my front dash cover off.. i notice a black female plug in sitting by the plugins that go into my light switch.. well theres no spot for this one to plug in? any idea what it is? i took my light tester to see if it had power goin to it.. an it did. i accidently touched 2 of the connectors inside together and i blew out my IP dimmer fuse? could i have the wrong light switch?
