Depends on what you wanna do with the car as well. Mostly street and some drag, all drag, some road race, etc. How low you wanna go will depend on how bad the streets are where you live and how much you want the bottom of your car banged up.

Konis are good too, and eibach springs are great.

For shocks go with Konis or Sam Strano's revalved Bilsteins. For springs pick yourself up an Eibach pro kit maybe. Avoid Sportlines though. Sam Stranos springs are good also and very road racing oriented. what all are you wanting to do anyway?

EDIT: If you are lowering you will also want an adjustable panhard bar, and control arm relocation brackets are highly recommended. You can use the brackets with the stock LCAs if you wish, but I really do not recommend it considering that the stock peices are monumental **** to put it bluntly. UMI is a great company to pick up the adjustable panhard bar, LCAs, and relo. brackets from.

The street is the great equalizer, your not going to run the best but having a good drag radial, shocks/springs, tq arm with LCA's and relocation brackets are going to be a good step in the right direction.

Probably the best first mod for hooking up is LCAs with relocation brackets, then some subframe connectors and a torque arm. The brackets for the LCAs still help even if your car is not lowered. For straight line performance if your shocks are not worn out yet I would just keep them for now and replace them with some Koni's when they're shot. You only need springs if you wanna lower it or your stockers are worn out.
