Default plug help

how do you guys check and/or change the goddam plugs in these things. I spent over an hour yesterday trying to do it and only go two checked. Any suggestion? Oh and could mny headers be making it more difficult?

lol your about to have the time of your life. lol i hope you have Longtubes wait you got shorties. But someone will come in and help there was this thread that i started that showed where they was lmc if i can find it for you.

Drivers side is by far easier, you can do #1 and #3 easy, 5 and 7 do from underneath. On the pass side i found it easiest to check by removing the alternator, your gonna need to do # 6 and 8 from underneath, id suggest getting a socket adapter for our plugs, then use a wrench and you can get in there, what you are going to have to do is after you remove the plugs tighten them up by hand and then use the socket adapter. If you need one let me know, i have an extra i can sell you.

Well I am planning on doing a nitrous kit in the near future and want to get this **** figured out.

I have LT and I do the drivers side from underneith and the PS from the top. I remove the alt, use a spark plug socket with the rubber insert removed and a wrench for 2&4/shorty rachet for others and I kneel on top of the motor and reach down. One knee on intake and one on front cross member. Remove oil dip stick and bend tube a little to get more room for #6 or just remove the bolt that holds it in place( from underneith w 1/4 drive rachet/socket) and move it. No need to take it out. Good luck. Took me a day my first time, now it takes about 2 hr.

Dont feel bad, 1'st time took me eight hours! A few of which were spent on the # 6 passenger plug. Mack has some good advice! I did mine leaving the oil dipstick and it was a pain!

Sounds like you boys are having fun..
I used a 3/4 Wrench and a Spark Plug Socket, I had it down to 35 min..
I have no AC, and had Pace Setter Racing LT's at the time, much easier to do..
You don't even want to know how much of a difference it is with the LSX..
