Default What kind of headers? LT1???

hey guys, i am installing headers on my 93 TA in a few weeks... just wanted to know what kind of headers everyone has on their LT1's.... i also want to know what kind of header gasket i should use for the install?? i heard the fel-pro gaskets are good, but i dont want any leaks.... i was thinking about getting the hooker super-comp headers in black... not sure about ceramic coated headers, are they really worth it??
also what y-pipes are you guys running??
i have a magnaflow exhaust if anyone is wondering... thanks for the help!

Pacesetters are the least expensive. Kooks expensive but (probably) worth it.
Jet Hot are nice and fit well as well as tucking tight.

All long tubes are a PITA to install. They are also ALL non-emissions legal due to moving the stock cats. If emissions are an issue, consider shorty or mid length, but don't expect as much performance as long tubes. Shortys are fairly restrictive when you're going to do more than simple bolt ons.

when I was a bolt-on car I had great luck w/ MAC shorties (12.4s) then I went to hooker lt's and I like em fine (install was cake, plugs aren't that hard to do)

PeteZ stepped headers (via Z8s) are going on the 396 car soon

My sisters z has pacesetter mids and magnaflow exhaust. The sound is ausome. I'm going longtubes on mine though. I dont mind changing my headers once a year for smog.

I have pacesetter ceramic LT'S with ORY and magnaflow exhaust. It sounds great and realy woke the car up. I do think ceramic coated is worth it. The headers last longer and the temp under the hood is lower.

Pacesetter Ceramic coated LT's. Had no problem at all installing them. They went in easy from the bottom.

Grot with jethot coating LT's
Mufflex Y
Blowmasters

Install took awhile, but it was my first set. Plug access is awesome, if your doing your headers, do plugs and wires while your down there though, its even easier when the headers arnt there .

If emmisions are a problem, make friends with a mechanic
Remember boys, a case of beer goes a long way.

Sounds like hell on wheels though, and she moves out.

I have Hooker LTs (ceramic) running though 4" ORY into magnaflow catback, it sounds awesome... Hookers are harder to install, I needed to lift passenger side of engine to fit header in.
