If it ends up being at KCIR I will definately be there.
I don't have a stretcher so my junk gets driven to where ever the races are.
I am sure we could get the KC contigent to help out with any thing you need.

November, I would be a spectator. Spring I would be there for sure w/car to race. If in st. louis or KC. Would love to see all the big wiggs in one place. Plus the northern IL guys could convoy.

Feb,March or April would be good in the south, Memphis or Bowling Green. Ed Wright has a good track near him, near Tulsa Ok. Would give a chance for the snow birds to come play, I would be easier on the cars and people in that cooler air. I HATE being at the track when it is hot, cars run slow, cool downs take FOREVER....and well you just SUFFER. Cooler air will give us better E.T.'s to flog around in the LS1 guys faces Would just be a better deal all around in my opinion.

We were there Mar 10th for the Spring Midwest shootout this year.
We'll be there again in November 3rd for the Fall shootout.

The Tulsa track is good, and probably cheaper than Topeka to rent. If I brought it up first people would think I just wanted to race at home. I don't really care, I don't mind traveling.

I know the management well if you want me to talk to them.
My NHRA divisional races start in March. (Different engine, gears, etc.)
This fall would be better for me, but I realize I'm just one car. If I can't run it, I'll still help if you if decide to do it here. Several NHRA & IHRA Pro Stock, Comp & Super Stock cars test here all the time. I could run the little engine, but a 10 second 355" aint too impressive. Sure feels slow.

I would be in for some bracket racing or index classes. My Terd can't keep up with most other LTX'ers on here.

March would be perfect weather in KC. Now that they mention it Heartland Park Topeka would work for me as well. Just about the same drive for me either way.

Next year would be better for me so that maybe my big bore engine will get done. Should still be able to make if in October with the slow white car.

Topeka is actually a better track then KCIR IMHO.
I have not raced at Tulsa, but I hear it's even better.
Well worth the drive, I can stop in and harass Ed while I am there

The problem with Topeka is that from what I've heard it's fairly expensive to rent. Also, the pits are so far from the track that it's not really a racer-friendly track. You practically have to go 1/2 miles down the road course to get to the staging lanes.

I always loose a couple of lbs when I go to Topeka. (Not like I don't need it.) Great facility, but entails a LOT of walking if you don't have a golf cart. Which I don't.

You have obviously not read the entire thread... the east coast is NOT in the central part of the country. The 2-3 guys working on putting this together are from the Pacific Northwest, and are not going to haul their stuff all the way to the East Coast to race.
