Default Goddamnit!!!

So my car's been out of comission for the past week and a half due to a leaking radiator. I've already been through 1 that I tried to replace it with and that one I think was for a v-6. DAMNIT. So I go to the GM dealership to order a stock OE replacement and it fits great. But wait, there's a leak.

******* brand new OE radiator leaking from the passenger side of the readiator where the plastic meets with the core. WTF???

Well it might be possible, but that would'nt be too bright seeing how it's a brand new rad I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow to see if they can fix it, and if they can't then I will send it back to the manufacturer.

I hope it can be fixed seeing how that part can be serviced fairly easy

Based on my experiences, they can be ****** and say, "You probably did that when you installed it". I read that it was new before I answered but like I said here, you can get screwed. I hope they are nice about it and give you a good one.

Raise 10 kinds of hell about it. Don't take no for an answer. I wouldn't walk out of there unless I got another radiator.

The dealer just ordered the part for me I don't know how much they will be able to do but hopefully they will try. My uncle actually works for Lithia and is very respected throughout the company got the part for me at cost plus tax =$195. So they will probably... Wait a minute the guy just called me and said he will call the company and have a new one sent out no questions asked. What a relief, I was kinda stressin out for a minute there

Good price, I think the OE rad for my auto cost me like $225. Glad to see you got it all worked out.

Glad to hear it's being resolved to your satisfaction.
I polled the guys here and someone said "radiator barn". I bought mine there, shipped to the house for $165 for my '94 A4.

I have no beef about the OE radiator. I think it's a good part. With a 160 stat and stock water pump, it cools really well. Only time it goes up is idling in traffic and that's cuz the water pump is just barely turning. Get on a straight stretch and it's down in no time.

I understand your anger but the title of your thread is a little harsh.
