Default turning engine over with no oil?

hey guys. this is a stupid question, but its not a good idea to turn my engine over with no oil in it is it. i ask because im trying to get the torque converter bolts bolted up to the flywheel, but i dont wanna turn it over with no oil. do i need to fill it up with oil to do this? thanks

dude thats fine. just do it manually, as long as the motor isnt on, you wont be able to spin it fast enough to cause any damage, yur good.

there is a strap you can turn it with or take a vice grips and put it on the flywheel and you can move it ...its not the best way but i just did it this weekend

You will be fine so all as you dont crank it. I have done it many of times with no problems.

Have you just assembled the Engine, or is it something you are putting in the car to get it back together...
