LT1 Valve cover clearance for RR
I'm just finishing up my LT4 "Hot Cam" kit and reinstalled my factory LT1 valve covers. They seem to go on ok but I have read somewhere that you might have clearance problems or maybe with a different set of rr. Has anyone running this kit have roller rocker issues hitting the factory valve cover??

What part do you grind anyhow? I've heard about it but not too sure which part. I'm going to start collecting my cam parts (getting comp cams pro mag), so I want to be prepared. Thanks

With the Comp Pro Mags, they are very wide. You will have to cut out those little "baffles" or "guides" that the center bolts go through. They are much wider than a Crane/GMPP aluminum rocker.

I had GMPP and Pro mags.
GMPP need nothing.
Comp Cam Pro mags can be done 2 ways. Cut the Baffles like DHdenney said or take a pair of pliers (not needle nose) and bend the lip on the baffles to go straight up and down and still keep the strength and allows equal clamping load on the head. I bent mine and they fit even better then with the GMPP's

Hadn't heard of that way but probably a better solution. Just eyeballin the Pro Mags assembled in the head, it didn't even look like the valve cover baffles would have cleared anyway.
