Default What Heads should i run?

I am thinking of putting heads on my car to let it breath. Best heads for under 1000? I was told that some type of escalade head flows good but i dont know if they were joking. Any good factory heads that outflow my 93 lt1 heads and direct fit. Any suggestions??

Just get your stock ones worked... that's about the only option you have for under $1,000

I think someone was referring to the L92 head but that's a different generation head and will not work. Look at Lloyd Elliot (Eportworks), Advanced Induction or Port Pros.

A LE set up is avalible and if I recall is uncer 1k, for the basic set. Lt1 castings, upgraded springs, stock valves. That would probably be your best bet.

I think so...He is Joe Overton's head porter...My LT1 castings with 2.00/1.56 valves flow 258 int @ .550 and 180 exh @ .550...when I wanted to change cams and have my heads re-ported in 2005 I looked to them because of proven track times and MPH...The combo of Joe's 226/234 cam and Eric's head porting picked me up 5 mph in trap speed...The car can be a DD easily and has been, and it runs very well especially when you consider how relatively small the cam is for a 383...Joe and Eric used to have a web site, but Joe isn't specing cams too much anymore...I can pm you Eric's number if you want to talk to him...

If you have a local performance shop they will probably now a local machine shop that can do the head work, otherwise you can take them off and ship them to lloyd and he will port them for 500 bones.

But that's for port work only. No valve job or parts or assembly.
