Does this happen anywhere besides in Pennsylvania commonly? The road crews just throw down sticky oil and dump chips on it but don't even roll it. I guess they figure what sticks....sticks.....my car was sliding all over the place just driving. I feel bad for the kids who aren't expected their cars to come unglued from the road.

 

funny you ask, I have only seen them do it in PA, it is fun to watch them do it in the middle of the highway though. There are cars cruising down the road at 70+ and where there is a gap in trafic a guy with a shovel runs out and and throws more down, smacks it with the shovel, and runs back before the next car gets there...

Ask me how many times I have seen that first hand and ended up being the next vehicle to get to it...

 

I drove thru some with nice hot drag radials. When I got to my drive way ther was more on the car then left on the road!

 

I pulled onto my road and was like oh they paved, then I slowly shifted and it broke loose, so I went into third and broke loose again, so I goosed it a little and it broke all over the place in third and fourth -- my car has a catback and that's about it so theres just too much loose gravel everywhere.

What ever happened to quality work?? haha

 

they just chip sealed our streets here. I have left the car in the garage till it sets up a bit.

I live in the sticks of Kansas and they do the entire neighborhood every year.
