Man, i might have to try somthing to this nature, it saddens me deeply if i gotta pull the head back off, I used hose to connect the heads due to the old line being bent, so i guess u could pull one side off and just do somthing like that on the driver side....but damn man, 22$ ofr another set of frickin head bolt and prolly another 20$ for another head gasket....and another intake gasket....man thes car will be the end of me...
My actual pipe thing was corroded on the tip and dealer wanted like 30 bucks plus shipping and I would have to wait at least a week for it,so I said screw that and just headed to home depot to see what I could come up with. I think I spent like 20 bucks for everything, lol - the fittings, hose, and paste sealant. Thicker I/D then the stock little metal tube so it flows more freely, not sure if its worth any benefit like maybe less hotspots on the heads or anything, but hell it was cheaper and I didnt have to wait so as long as it does the job right I'm game.

Yea, i think i will try somthing of that nature on the driver side only, i allready hacked the line and used rubber hose to work with me better, so i can just remove the driver side, i will try it with the heads still on...wish me luck man, you really were helpful on this Puck.

Good Luck!

I'm not by any means the only person who has done something like this, I just had a pic of when I did it laying around Its common for that piece to strip or break when removing heads.

The right way is to take the head off, Drill the hole clean, tap it and helicoil it to the exact size of the bolt. I had to do this on my last head. Did the same **** as you did.

i hate to say this because its a bad example, i plugged my cooling vent tubes. been driving like that for over 5 years now. been ok so far (fingers crossed).

havent had any problems with the hot spot issue yet. i use to drive it every day, now its only once a week. no sign of blown head gasket yet.

i dont mind if the heads go though, i got my back-up set of ported heads waiting to bolt-on ... lol and next time im gonna install the vent tube.
