check your throttle body, make sure that the blade is clean, also.. make sure your TPS is working

If you have an ses light then there is some kind of problem. If no codes show up on your scanner, then I would guess you have a faulty scanner or pcm.

Anyone think it could be the torque converter being locked up in all gears ?

It would throw a code. Something on the lines of TCC stuck on.

Car will not scan
will not flash codes
has contenuity in all wires ( to data link )
blocked off egr - no difference
and adjusted valves.
NO DIFFERENCE !!

im in the same boat as you and your buddy are but with my car. check the throttle position sensor. make sure none of the wires on it are cracked or anyting mine were because of an electronic wide open throttle swich. check your coolant level my radiator is half full with no visible leaks anywhere. if you figure out what it is let me know and ill do the same. good luck!!

zlegal28... do a compression check to see if you have a blown head gasket.

I don't have any idea on my buds car.
STILL NEEDING HELP !! Whoever figures out this problem is a genious !!

im going to tomorrow...

did you data log your buddies car? maybe the car is sensing alot of knock. you would also be able to see if the tps is reading correctly and all the other good stuff too.

well mine is fixed it was a weak fuel pump. put a new one in and car runs ALOT better.

My friends car is still not correct. His fuel pressure is good.

if you are going to keep throwing all this money at it, go download data master and a cable and do a data log on it. the problem will show its ugly face. data master does 15 free scans, i think it was 15. then upload the log for us to look at. its gonna be something stupid, it almost always is.

Drop the exhaust except the headers/manifolds, of course. Run any different?

You really need to scan it. You're tossing ideas ($$$$) at it, instead of troubleshooting the problem.
