Default Coolant temp sensor location

Ive got a 93 trans am and it is throwing a code 15 saying Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Circuit (Low Temperature Indicated)....where is the loaction of the temp sensor .i know there are more than one temp sensors on these cars.which one do i need to check?thanks for any helpful info...

im pretty sure the temp sensor is on the drivers side head.. the other one is a temperature sending unit, which is on the water pump

The temp sensor in the driver's side head does not connect to the PCM, and therefore cannot throw any codes. The one in the head just connects to the temp gauge in the dash.

Check the one in the water pump.

^ +1. The one in the head is ONLY for the gauge. If you've got a code, then its the one in the water pump.

Ok.....Yeah i knew that one was for the gauge and one for the PCM but i couldnt remember where they was located......thanks for the input!

The sensor in the "head", is actually in the block. Just thought id throw that one out.

The temp gauge sensor is in the head, the 'knock' sensor is in the block.

Yea, i replaced mine and now the fuggin connector wont go back on...gay.
