sometimes when driving down the road i loose all control of the window i cant put it up or down it just stays where its at. then when i open and close my door it works fine. any ideas

Well, i can only imagine it is falling off track and when you shut the door it nocks it back into place maybe? Just an idea.

im thinking electrical becouse it will sometimes just stop rolling when it is going up.. one of these days im goin to take off the panel and take a look

i no mine stops half way all the time i think it just needs a new window motor

I think the motor is going, for some reason the driver's door motor don't last much past 100K miles??

do you loose control of anything else? like the pass. window? or the radio? mine does it, and it turned out to be the body control module. kinda sucks because its a $300 item. lol

its the window motor..its not that bad to replace..just drill your rivets out pull it out slap the new one in and bolt it up..its worth it to do it yourself

alright im going to go pick up a new window motor when it completely dies.... but im still wondering because when it works its not slow. i can still control the opposite window and radio so its not the body control module

Try the window switch...gm has a TSB out on them for inop dr lk and window switch. part no. 10402838 gm list 15.40, try that first...alot cheaper than a window motor.
