How much fuel pressure is normal?
How much fuel pressure is normal? I just hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and at idle and driving around it's right at 39 psi. It does go up when accellerating to about 42 psi and it's a stock unit. My car is equipped with a Hot Cam, tune, LTs, no cats or emmissions. I am running a 3.73 gear and the fuel system is all stock. Are my stock injectors ok for this application? My throttle body is also stock too, I was told that the stock 48mm is good for 350 horse so I figured I was ok there but I'm kinda worried about the fuel pres.?????? I have noticed that when the car is hot and has sat for awhile it starts ok but takes a couple revolutions before it fires as where in the morning when its cold it fires immediately.
Your fuel pressure is fine. It should be about 43 during a vacuum drop (accelerating) and about 3 less at idle, but the standard, non-adjustable FPR is not that accurate.
Your stock injectors should be fine for your engine in its current state.

LT1 bare min is 6lbs @ 1000rpm last few times I've checked the old FSM. Reguardless figure he posted is not any relation to fuel pressure
