I'm partial on the Opti, mine has 96K and I'm sure it's ALL original. Yet, how many of the previous distributors go bad?
As is the case with anything, you always notice the bad more than the good.

Well, as i said it is the positioning of the opti that makes it a bad thing, the opti itself is not bad, but the GEN I went till 2002 or somthing with the vortec motors, so that should say somthing. The GEN I can go with 12 to 1 compression with the right cam to bleed ff a bit of cylender pressure and aluminum heads. So all in all it is preferance i believe, i LOVE my 95 but the LT1 is such a headache to work on, if i wasnt as big as a damn ape it would be a bit easier, but a GEN I in it wouldnt be but a tiny bit better.
