It definitely has seen some abuse.
I got a mint 95 Z28 3 years ago with 88K for $4400.

Test drive it and feel for any weakness in the drivetrain, tranny, rear, etc.
Thats not alot of miles on an LT1 if the motor has been taken care of.

I wouldnt pay much more then $2800-$3200 if it drives ok.

LMAO ****? I was just asking a question. I see beat up LT1's with more miles and more wrong sell for $6000+. It seems as if you are more worried about cosmetic blemishes more so than if the motor and trans are still good. From my experience I would rather have spent $500 on painting some bumpers than having to spend $2300 to have my tranny rebuilt. All Im saying is look at it as a whole and judge it from there. Hell I just bought 2 hatch struts on ebay for mine and spent $17 and they work great. I got a great deal on some kumho's from tire rack and got them all mounted and balanced for $230 for all 4. Also where I live $5000 gets you a huge broke down POS car that barely runs. W/O t-tops and broke *** ****. So please before you flip out and **** yourself, take some facts into consideration. Like I said above Ive been offered 6k for my signature car. No t-tops, tape player, and it had 82k on the clock and I spent $6800 for it financed it when i was 18.

Damn east coast prices. I live in a military city, so every summer any sports car sells for premo $$$.

+1 I did the dealer thing and I regret the $$$ spent on the finance charges. IDK if its just when I look around but I always see better deals on the coastal states. Here in CO RWD cars arent too easy to find (mainly f-bdoies, mustangs are all over) so when anyone gets one they charge out the nose for them.

I'd like to know who loans on these cars? Lenders around here won't touch anything more than 8 years old or over 100k. I have had several people interested in my car and they couldn't get it because of financing 97 and 105k. I don't want to sell my car but my house has some serious problems and I don't have the cash to fix em. I am asking $4000 more than that car withouth the problems and it's got a lot done to it plus a fresh tune up so wait around till you find the right deal and when it's time start looking at autotrader everyday. Keep in mind buyin an fbody the tune up which is prolly needed and why it's being sold is $500 unless you can work on the car yourself. I have seen several people sell their fbody because of the $500 tune up. Anyway One day it will jump out at you and you will know thats the car. Thats what happened to me. Be willing to travel and don't give in for a pos. I was getting ready to drive 300 miles to pick up a 93 vette and decided to look at ta's also and found mine and drove 30 miles and it was already fast. I put about $2000 into the car and now it's really fast. When i bought it, it would run a new 06 vette on the hwy.

Local banks may do it, try a credit union you will have better success there. Or a Personal loan from the bank (they may want the title to the car as collateral (sp?) Or the CC thing, thats how I bought my Gixxer.

im lookin to spend around 3 or 4k or less. im still in the saving process. but i was just wondering if the price was decent for a 95 z28. i also found a 94 z28 hard-top. i can't remember if its a4 or m6. and it has a 115000 miles. the guy wants 2000. a private seller.

I bought mine for 3500 with 124000 miles on it. T-tops, auto, Lt1. I got it from a dealer we do work with, and bought it before they had it detailed/inspected so i got it "cheap" Did have headers, moroso cold air intake, 3 inch exhaust and y-pipe, but the paint had no shine to it, drivers seat was torn, the rims were corroded with smaller tires, and needed a tune up. I buffed the **** out of the paint-looks perfect minus some deep scratches which i maybe able to westand out. I put LS1 Z28 rims on with some used tires i found on here, put race seats in it and gave it a nice tune up (MSD wires, G3 plugs, mobil 1 synthetic oil change, radiator flush) Seems pretty nice now. Not complaining for what i paid for it, its not perfect, but its the car i wanted since i got my license and now I have it!
