Let's put this in perspective. My taxi with 16 degrees less intake duration and less lift with a mechanical WP and 3.73s has done 7.5 at 90mphin the 1/8th. Granted he had a MPH on me but the WP and weight should be worth a LOT more than 1mph.
This is just another example of a person overcamming a car and not knowing any better so they tell everyone how good it is.
fergymoto already showed that with good heads this cam in a 350 will peak beyond the pcm's capability. He wised up and swapped to the cam I have and is happier.

I already contacted Fergymoto, and he cant show me anything except his kind words for what his setup did. No dyno sheet and track numbers that in my opinoin do not show true potential.
Overcammed means something different to everyone, what works for you may not work good for me. Actually it's more than likely it wont work good for me. 3400 stall with 3.73's are set up to do something different than 4000 stall and 4.11's. Although thanks for the insight.

Mine is a pretty rough mailorder tune that the AFR varies from 12.2-12.7 through the rpm range, zero timing changes from the Creech baseline, a few shift point tweaks. Midlength headers(1 5/8") through 2.5" mufflers.
If you pay attention most of the mid 220s intake cams need to see 6500 with decent heads.
Heads are a big variable in the rpm a cam needs to see that people neglect to consider. Stock heads with this cam would likely peak WELL within the pcm's capability because the heads will choke it.

Each to their own, but that cam is big for street use. But if sound is what your after sound that's what you'll get. That is whats goes on with the cruise in /car show crowd here where I live guy's over cam the **** out of the engine and it's just a big turd, but all they won't to do is pose and turn people's heads when they pull in the parking lot, with a show car chopping like a top fuel funny car. I see that and kinda chuckle under my breath,But I'll also here the average joe telling his wife and kid's how fast that car must be because it sounds like a drag car, Oh yeah then you have the guy with a gear drive that try's to play it like it's a SC..LoL
Your car does sound killer though rock on..

Best 60': 1.62
Best R/T: .089
Best 1/8 Mile ET: 7.31
Best 1/8 Mile MPH: 101
7.31 @ 101, by my standards, is a bit faster than your taxi's 7.5 @ 90something.
I had an ed curtis spec 242/250 on a 112lsa. it had the XFI 292 intake lobe. I made 390 rwhp through a big stall auto on what are basically stock heads with some bowl work and a valve job. it peaked at 6350-6400.

check the vid. 389 @ 6370, 365 rwtq @ 4490. thats on a mustang dyno too.
I shifted it at 6800 where power had started to fall a little bit. car ran like a bat out of hell.
big cams make power. small cams are for daily drivers.

Yea, if it did run this cam, it's not going in a street car. I could care less about sound and impressing people. Just trying to find results, graphs, or whatever. The valvetrain events on the XFI292 cam are close to a custom cam I got spec'ed last week, just a little "bigger".
Zigroid was spec'ed something even bigger and had good results. But like everyone has said, these arent for the average H/C guys, who mainly dont know what they want. I know you guys have to tell them to keep the low end, stay in the 220's, etc, because they dont understand what they want. You need a big stall, gear, tuning, etc to get cars with larger cams to perform. Most people cant deal with that. I followed Zigroids posts along with many others about this cam.
Thing I like about the CC306 is it works well on the bottle and that's a good reason for me to keep it around. Wont be the best N/A, but run good on the juice, and I've got the drivetrain to support it.
Zigroid, any new updates on your car, I watched the video, which I found comical. Get sticky tires on that car and take it to the track yet?
LALT1 is looking like he's got a nice MPH going there in the 1/8.

According to that site he made 490rwhp 540rwtq so it looks like he's spraying it now.
Did you ever run your car at the track?
