Default What am I going to do with this.

Heres the beginning of my new motor. Well not quite yet. Now I need a solid roller and an aftermarket ecm.

This winter is going to get expensive.

Go have the water next cut off Going to run a distributor while you're at it? In another thread I had posted where the Vortec distributor is basically an opti. So I bet it wouldn't take much work to get it running (since it uses the same coil and icm).

Looks nice though.

God thats f*ckin sexy. Are you going to run a intake elbow off of the intake manifold and run a twin or mono blade TB, or go with a TB directly on top?

I work at a machine shop and plan on removing the water neck. I'm going to start fabbing an elbow for a monoblabe. Hopefully there is still room to install a direct port nitrous kit and I may also have a set of spray bars installed in the intake for the second stage. As for as the distributer I've been using the MSD unit and it even made it thru a bad water pump.

Well no pics, but I just got some brodix heads that have been converted to run on the lt1. I hope to get some flow numbers in a week or two. Then I will be calling to get some numbers for a solid roller.

Well I got some numbers over the phone today and they are not as good as I hoped for.

Intake
264 at .500
274 at .600
283 at .700

I will have the flow sheet in a day or two.

Are those out of the box? You can get that out of an LT1 casting. Of course we don't know what the average flow is.

Dont look at like a bad thing, they could be worse. Your just going to have to run a bigger cam to compensate.

Okay I got some more numbers herre.

These are flowed at 28 on a 4.030 bore

int exh lift
195.4 133.5 .300
241.7 162.1 .400
264.5 183.6 .500
274.3 196 .600
283 203 .700

This is without a valve job and the heads as I receaved them. This is an old set of heads that I just got and for the price I can't really complain. I hope to get a little more out of them.
