Lt4 heads need cam
what would be a good cam choice? looking to run N/A and will have all supporting fuel mods and LT's. Not a DD going to be a Street stripe car.
Take a look around and it is amazing what properly ported LT1 heads can do, and amazing the excuses the guys who went LT4/aftermarket come up with for why the car with LT1 heads is faster.

good point, I am mixed right now, I am thinking possibly a 383 in the near future but not sure
Most people state what is "good" based on a marketting built reputation rather than track proven results.
Granted everyone talks about how much better the bigger heads are but the results IMO are not there.
I have run same track same day as strokers with aftermarket or LT4 heads some ported by reputable shops and out ET'd and MPH'd them, my little stock shortblock stays below 6500 even during the shift, mechanical WP, stock damper, noting goofy or special. Car is basically full weight, the aluminum heads are far and away the biggest weight savings with the 9.5" converter being the next biggest and nothing has been done specifically to cut weight, even have a trailer hitch on the car.
I can not stress enough that there is a BIG difference between what the "forum consensus" is and what REALITY is.
