might wanna send that head out to be shaved down, not sure if you would get a good seal with what looks like the pitting in it.

I got a feeling that is what the Machinest will be doing He does all our work. If I did not question them I would have bolted them right back on

Thanks!

Here is mine. Not a burn I am pretty sure. I am guessing I messed up torquing the heads and the bolts relaxed? Any thoughts?

Did you Re-torque the heads? What TQ and Botls did you use?

Looks like they pushed out alot like mine. I know mine was from a lean hole running on juice. We rejetted teh hole and went some more but the damage was already done.

You know, I may not have gone back and retorqued them. The engine sat assembled for a while before I put it back in the car. I use ARP bolts and I don't remember the torque off had but I would have used the ARP recommendation with their assembly lube.

Re-torque is a must with new bolts. I did the three time TQ as required and one after heat cycles.

On the ARP bolts I used the ARP Sealant. You want to use the sealant on the threads so the bolts do not leak

Good news bad news from the machinset. Decks were great...Three cracked intake ports and a broken Vavle Spring

hehe

No Worries. They are already at the welder. When we bilt them Lloyd set them up to use Stock rockers. Problem is with the Cam I run and the lift it has they still hit the Intake ports so I had to go to offset rockers. The good news is we now have more room to weld

I was more worried about the valve spring that broke. Lost an Inner spring and and beat the hell out of the seal and guide.

More parts to order I am never going to get that MADMAN kit on at this rate LOL!

Yeah I have had an 18* top end for ever. Might be time to finally get the heads converted and drop them on
