i no camaros arent made for gas mileage and im not bitchin but is it normal for a lt1 to get 13 mpg is beaten and 15 mpg if driven responsible cuz thats what i get a it seems a lil low but im not sure(mostly city but some highway)and also i think my opti is goin bad so that could help with the shitty mpg.....but whats the normal mpg for every one else

I just got 23 mpg on a mostly highway and some city driving trip. Mostly city, I'd average around 16-17 mpg. The past few times I was getting 20 mpg with a healthy mix of both.

That mileage is pretty normal for mostly city driving. I think the best way to see if you have issues with gas mileage is to fuel up your car then take a trip on the freeway with it, fuel up when you get off and calculate your mileage. I say that because I get 8-12 mpg around my town (loads of stop signs and the roads are mostly 25 mph. Hella small town), which had me thinking for a while there was a problem with my car, but on the freeway I get 26 mpg, which is perfectly acceptable. And that's with no cruise control and climbing hills a lot of times.

Yeah I get the same 13-14mpgs(50/50mix) and I put a new MSD opti on it. I don't know if blocking off the EGR and removing the AIR pump when I installed my OR headers and Y-pipe could make the mileage go south or not but that is the reason I haven't been driving it much. Also for whats been done to it, it should see under 14sec in the quarter and I am not even close!

Hmmm, i kinda find it hard to believe that's a norm. I've got a cammed 355 caprice with a 4.56 gear in the rear and i get 13.5 beating the hell outta of it around town. And right at 20 on highway.

While doing my last tuning run (about 15 minutes ago) I averaged 24mpg with several WOT runs (though Power enrichment is disabled, if it was enabled i'd expect it to be around 18-20mpg average)

In Northern NJ - all stop and go, I got almost 16 (treating it real nice) last tank.

I was thrilled because that was an improvement of around 2 mpg from before I did the plugs, wires, opti, cleaned the MAF and throttle body.

Change your fuel filter!! I just did mine and she moves much better now, so I'm expecting a few points in MPG as well. Then again, I'm 90% sure it was the original filter @ 96K

Being an A4 that is about right compared to mine. I normally get 14mpg in city and 18-19 on highway.

im lucky to break 12 mpg. I got a heavy foot.
my thoughts on this -> ride it hard and put it away wet. There is always more gas to fill up.

Al Gore would be sick to his stomach after that comment...
