The car is a dog off the line it feels as if there is no breathing in the motor. It runs fine around town and no misfire. It is bone stock manifolds cats and all. He has LT's and heads and a cam for it but we would like to fix the low power problem before trying to add performance parts to it.
when we ran it last best time was a 16.0 @94 or so MPH with a blazing 3.0 60'

Just a tip....check to see if the cat is clogged b/c I had an issue kinda like yours with my old camaro. It was slow off the line but at higher rpm it would start to pull....turned out to be a clogged cat didn't figure it out till it would die when I gave it gas off idle. Just an idea, never hurts to try it ya know. Cars can be very tricky at times. Also timing could be off as well (maybe a streched chain or opti out of adjustment) Good Luck

Hope you get it straightened out soon, I'd hate to have alot of goodies sitten around and can't even put them on a car b/c it's not running up to par. Just seems pointless till you get it straightened out huh! Good Luck and keep us posted.

check your new MAP and MAF. Something could be faulty and throwing an incorrect load rating to the ECU, resulting in an incorrect A/F calculation to give it more power under a heavy load. then, once you get going, the proper ratio is restored, equaling in high trap speeds.
since you just replaced heads/valetrain, it would be a bad/burnt valve. but check for maybe a bad piston ring, resulting in low compression. from the initial launch, the car is under significantly more stress than when it gets going up top. therefore, the lack of power due to the low compression would be more noticeable at low speeds.
good luck with the problem, and check back and let us know how everything turns out!

the MAP will not do anything, the MAP on the 94+ LT1s were just there for diag purposes. The MAF will **** it up bad. If it has top end power, then I would not think it would be a cat clogged. if the cat was clogged. it prolly could not go over ~40mph
