GM847 and similar
They also sell some psuedo-custom grinds - I was first thinking about either the 227/233 on 111LSA or their 'max effort" 233/239 on 112LSA grind, but got something custom in the middle instead. The description for the other two "semi-custom" grinds I was thinking about are here:
Smaller:
Comp Cams TN227XR Camshaft 227/233 duration @ .050", .560"/.569" lift with 1.6 rockers, 111lsa. Huge top end pull N/A cam, 3000+ stall converter recommended for auto cars. THE cam for street/strip cars looking for maximum power without sacrificing too much driveability.
Larger:
Comp Cams TN233XL Camshaft 233/239 duration @ .050", .569"/.577" lift with 1.6 rockers, 112lsa. Maximum effort horsepower cam for stock displacement engines, incredible mid range/top end. RPM range 3500-6700
I know a lot of impala guys like the 227, but I wanted a bit more lift. I had them spec me an N/A cam inbetween those two. It was maybe 20 bucks more then an off the shelf cam, and I ran 11.79 on BFG DR's w/ a 3200 stall and local shop "stage two" heads. They probably are only like LE1's. I am planning on running full slicks in cooler weather to see if I can get 11.5 out of it on motor. Nothing too spectacular, but not bad for a daily driver.
If I was going to do it all over and still stay stock cubes I would probably go even less duration, but more lift. Something like their 227/233 but with .570/.580 lift. I am a fan of the low duration high lift cams for their streetability and low end.
::edit:: Oh, and this is just about full weight with barely 350 to the wheels(349 I got shafted!) through a stalled auto
