Default Camaro's down..

Well..no 1/4 mile fun for me guys..

Went out and put the final Tune in it and on the last little run it **** out and started ticking real loud, and having some Knock Retard on the Computer. I coasted it off the Highway and parked it, pulled the Valve Covers off of it to check the Rockers.

Everything was bolted down tight to where it should be except #5 Intake. It was tight, but it has about 1/8" freeplay from the Valve to the Rocker when you lift it. I pulled the Rocker off, pulled out the Pushrod to check it and it was good. Springs were good, nothing wrong there..everything else was good.

I think it dropped that Lifter, so next week I'm ordering new Lifters..probably LS7 Lifters, Head Gaskets, Head Bolts, and whatever else I need. Then find the time to drop the Engine out and tear the top-end off of it..

**** happens..built it, break it, build it again..atleast it happened here, not there after a big drive and all that gas money..

I'm pretty sure you do... thats what my GM instructor told me anywayz. In the LT1 you only have to pull the intake manifold and pushrods, etc.

Yup..you have to pull the Heads...here we go again...
It won't take that long, and cost under $250.
I don't know about being 1-up on what I was sportin..we were expecting mid-10's..on all motor..

**** happens..all part of the fun of it..

^^Yea, but the Rockers shouldn't have that much free-play..well just one of them anyways..lol

They were GM Lifters with 13K on them, I think it was just one that was bad, the rest of them are good..
