Default Workin on the TA a little lately... (T56 rebuild, True Duals, 9 inch rebuild, etc)

Well I hate to have my car out of commission but I parked it on the 19th and I've been working on it/ accumulating parts since.

I'm rebuilding my T56, new spec 3 clutch, new custom steel 1350 driveshaft, new gears, pinnion bearings, and wheel bearings in the 9 inch (it was whining).

2.5" true duals with an x pipe. Slip fit header collectors, over the axle pipes, dual 3 inch stainless rolled lip tips. Butchering some B body over the axle pipes I have to do it.

Building an adjustable panhard bar with rod ends, and Energy suspension rear sway bar mounts.

Ls1 WS6 intake with a clear lid (anyone with the WS6 base PM me I'm still looking for one!) I'm going to clean the engine bay up some to.

Well here's some pics, I'll try to post progress pics once in a while.

lol The blood is from putting it back together. Taking it apart is easy part!

I detailed it pretty good before it hit the streets a few months ago, you should have seen it before. It was like sand paper. The hatch was horribly oxidized to, I just spray bombed it ha! It's getting paint this winter, and some 18x9.5 c6 rims. But yeah it needs a little (a lot) of body work and paint this winter but I want to finish all the mechanical things it needs first.

Well I better go get 2 1/2 hours of sleep before I wake up.

Pretty much finished the True Duals tonight, got my drive shaft a few days ago. Finished my transmission but come to find out my output shaft is bent 20 thousands of an inch. Woot I need to get money to buy a new output shaft and tear my trany down AGAIN!

So check out my for sale post for my exhaust, and hit me up if you got a t56 output shaft for sale!

Mufflers?

Yeah the welds aren't the prettiest, I had some big gaps to fill in a lot of spots and I can't lay the prettiest beads in the first place but I'm not worried about them, they work and there done. Now I can move on to the 23432452345342 other things that need finished by the weekend!

Wouldnt stay in 4th gear unless you rev matched it perfect. And now I know the mainshaft is bent. Should have checked that knowing I broke a drive shaft going 155 (what a night) with this trany.

I have a vid of the TDs but I wont have my memory card here till tonight.

Going out to put the interior in it now, Ill try to post pics and a vid tonight, but it probally won't be untill like 2 or 3 am.

No progress pics from last night, I've been borrowing my aunts camera because mine broke and she needed it tonight. I got the Interior all back in tonight and finished wiring my fan switch/ shift light.

Here's last night.

Removing the passenger airbag and hunting down a sqeaking sound in my dash. It ended up being loose heater ducting.

Finishing my stereo/ fan switch/ shift light wiring.

Way better than 3 bolt flanges!

Need 2 more clamps for the X pipe to over the axle pipe connection.

Over the axle we go. Still need to add one more hanger and they will be up about another 1/2 inch.

Tips. waiting to take the tape off until I know the exhaust is on for good.

Here's a vid. Cold start up, O2s not hooked up, running like poop hah.

I need to try to find a power antennae repair kit tomorrow. I tore into mine tonight and the rope gear was toast. I need to find a piece of carpet that matches the stock color to cover my subs in the trunk to.

Also still need these parts to complete my interior, if anyone has them shoot me a PM!

-Dashpad
-Drivers seat (leather, power)
-Drivers window switch
-Passenger door handle trim
-L defroster vent (that little snap in pillar side window defroster thing like the eize of a quarter)
-Visors
-Plastic ring of trim around the leather shift bootie (M6) Try to find one that isn't broken to bad.

Yeah it does that hah. Hopefully not having leaking header collectors, new O2s, new PCV setup, cleaned IAC, and adjusting the TPS gets the black smoke down.
