[QUOTE=OutlawZ;7887529]By the way I'm gonna win Outlaw..... And set a new LT1 nitrous record in the process stealing it away from T Shep....
Car should be able to run 8.80's in full out race trim......
8.80s ain't gonna do it

Prior to competition, all cars and drivers must pass a technical and safety inspection
(this includes private test sessions) and sign a driver wavier and release form.
The standard NHRA eliminator system will apply at all KCIR events. All technical
information applying to KCIR eliminators my be found under the ET Section and the
General Regulations Section of the 2006 NHRA Rule book. All entries competing
and/or dialing quicker that 9.99 or 6.39 1/8th or running 135 or faster, will be required
to have an NHRA competition license and a chassis certification sticker affixed to
the frame before participating.
I think we will have plenty of time.
especially if Z8's or Rick Intrau show up. LOL

I honestly don't think 8.80's will be enough to win outlaw HOWEVER, getting a car to consistently run 8.80's without blowing up or killing yourself could be good enough for the win.... and tree-n the hell outta someone....

Hell I'll jet up if the need arises and I'll really outgunned... I'm bringing my whole engine team from CSM Racing Engines and Theo from Wizard Racing to help tune.... I gotta fly like 6 dudes out to KC!!!!

I'm scurred to see what psycho hardware Sikora shows up with....
And as far as the classes yeah that might be too many. It was just a guideline to pick and choose from anyways... I think we should definitely include a Street/Strip LT1 class to figure out the fastest guy without a single plane and rear mount dist.... Like typical LT1 guys.... in the low 10's to high 9's type.... Maybe get rid of the bracket racing and the index classes???? Or dump the index classes, have the heads up stuff and run a bracket race for the guys that are either bone stock or just aren't competitive enough for the heads up classes....
Guys, there is a member of the local board that works at a hotel about 10 minutes from the track. I've been in contact from him on getting a block of rooms reserved at a discounted rate. It takes 10 or more room reservations to get the discount, and he's estimating the cost at being $85-89 per room per night.
This would be at the Doubletree Hotel in Overland Park, KS. http://www.doubletree.com/en/dt/hote...tyhocn=MCIMSDT

If ANYBODY needs help with ANYTHING (hotels, directions, party spots, track questions, etc), feel free to ask me. I live here in KC, and I work part time out at KCIR.

Josh you will be a huge asset to this race! We will need some local volunteers to help out if you can find some.
And please find out about that hotel.

Shep, plans are definitely in the works. It'll take an act of god or getting fired from my new job to keep me from coming.
Maybe I shouldnt bother with the Heads Up P/A class and just run the street/strip class that OutlawZ has suggested. After all, Im still running the opti and stock intake
Could even throw on some drag radials if need be!

LTX Street Stock P/A: OEM LTX block with 23 degree heads PLUS OEM LTX Manifold. NO Single plane conversions, no rear mount distributors, no aftermarket engine mgmt, reprogrammed PCM’s allowed as well as hypertech programmers, LTCC allowed, Dynaspark allowed. One power adder allowed, 10.5” tires max, no minitubs (this class is indicative of the typical street LT1 not converted to full out drag use)

Don't be skeerd to put that car in the p/a class. I think you would do fine.
Of course I voted for a bracket class. Not only is my car not going to be competitive in the heads-up/index classes, brackets is all I know...hell I'll race the stripe and lift on Test N Tune nights if I'm not thinking straight, lol.
I would really like to see a bracket event, vs. a True Street setup with the 30 mile cruise, and averaging of 3 passes to set a dial in. I think an out right, dial it in, cut a light, run the number, change it if you have to next round kinda bracket race would be better suited for a WIDE range of cars. Not everyone likes to go on the 30 mile cruise, and then make 3 hot lapped passes, without running the fans and charging a battery, adding fuel, checking the bottle, adjusting.....anything...I mean come on, we're dealing with LT1s here. Checking to make sure they are still together after a pass is normal, right, lol. Make it open to all competitors.....Call it No-Electronics, Pro, Modified, Bracket Class whatever....but its run what you brung, and foot brake the **** out of it! Definately a non-electronics class!!
just my bracket ninja'd $.02!
I'm down for it and would be happy to pre-pay as long as I can run in a bracket class, and I would prolly still jump in a Index class (on the bottle).

I would be willing to run a Street strip class and the P/A class. I have to pull the damn water pump relay to get MY car to over heat LOL! I have been driving it 100 miles one way to race so a 30 mile drive before a nine second pass does not bother me. I am still running and opti(but will bring spares) and a modified LT1 intake.
To give you an idea the intake and heads are the same ones GM bolted on the car on the assembly line just REALLY tricked out
Where ever we stay I would like some kind of security in the lot. We will easily have a few million dollars in cars and trucks there. I would like them to be some sort of safe!
We already started planning for the 2,000 mile trip!

Yeah Tony I think we DEFINITELY have to have a heads up class for the guys that will be outgunned by single plane conversion and rear mount dist guys taht have gone all out...
Like a class where TRUE to the bones LT1 guys can figure out who's king.... That will be a really cool class and even I would LOVE to watch who comes out on top. Easily a way to attract another 100 cars.... especially with the distance for some of us...
I'm taking care of the west coast as best i can to get some of us out there...
