Holes in the LT1 Intake Manifold?? HELP!!
What are all of the holes for on the sides of the lt1 intake manifold??
How is it supposed to look on a 94 camaro when its all together with no AIR or EGR systems?
mine didnt have them when i bought the car so im also wondering what should i use to block off the holes if i can. Ive had taoe covering them since i got it back from the machine shop but im finally getting around to trying to get this thing running... I have already blocked off the EGR but the AIR system (i think) holes on the back of the passenger side of the intake manifold is still open and i would rather not have to wait to order some crap off of ebay if there is an easier way to make it happen so i can get the car running now.
The holes on the driver side of the intake manifold i also dont know what to do with im assuming that some of them have to do with the egr but what should i do with them?

Also while i was at the junkyard looking at other lt1s trying to figure out what mine is supposed to look like when its together i found some kind of sensor looking thing that went on the passenger side of the intake. It had what appears to be a fuel line going to it and there is another spot on the sensor thing for the line to come back out to the throttle body from what i can tell.. do i need that or can i forget about it?

I believe you're talking about your EVAP purge solenoid.

I would imagine you could delete it somehow. EVAP is a system that pulls fumes from you gas tank with vacuum. It basically keeps you from breathing them. You can remove everything, then install a filter or valve of some sort on the plastic line. I'm almost positive you'll set off the SES light with it deleted though.

Put a pipe plug in it or get a vaccuum port cap and leave the fitting in it.
When i put the 355 in my car I moved the evap solenoid back to where the egr used to be. Then I just extended the vent line back there to it with a barb and some more rubber fuel line, and made a hard line from the evap solenoid to the tb and tied it to the steam pipe.
On the drivers side I looped the pcv valve right back into the intake where the opti vent is hooked up from the factory. and the opti vent is hooked up to the port right under the tb.
I know it sounds complicated, but it got rid of a bunch of vacuum lines and crap all over the top of the motor. The stock configuration on the lt1 is the dumbest thing I have ever seen you have the same line crossing the intake 3-4 times for no reason at all.
