Application specific cam help
I am finally about to purchase a cam.
Both cams are Comp Cams and 112 LSA
224*/ 230* (CC503)
or
230*/ 236*
I have a decision to make, and I would like some opinions. This is a "If it were your car" type of question. Please tell me which cam you would choose and why you made that decision. Here is a short list a major mods and very soon to happen mods to help make the right move.
Un-touched STOCK HEADS
Comp Pro Mags 1.6
Hardened Push Rods
Guideplates
All necessary 10* hardware
26928 Beehive Valve Springs (Good for up to .650" lift)
Pacesetter Long Tubes
True Duals with X pipe
EWP
Yank 3600 Nitrous converter
Auto 4L60E Conversion
PCMforless Tune
I also have a 100 wet shot, but it is used very rarely. The motor has app. 115,00 miles on it. The motor runs strong . Let me know if any more information is needed. Thanks guys.

I also want to run something else by you guys. The guys over at comp have told me that I will run into piston/valve clearance with either one of these cams. Is there any truth to this? The heads have not been touched.

For untouched heads, I dont see there being an reason to check PTV clearance, its definitly a good thing to do, but for that duration, I dont see that being an issue.
If you had head work done and the heads were milled, then I would check them, but I personally wouldnt worry, its not a big cam.
