Default X-Pipe w/Bullets

I am running a pretty mild 383. I have the Magnaflow catback and y-pipe. What kind of performance gains and weight loss would I recieve by going to a x-pipe w/ bullets???

probably around 5-10 hp and i don't see any weight savings going true duals (especially is you run them all the way out back) because you have almost twice the amount of tubing

While I have no dyno numbers from before and after I can say that when I had a Borla cat back run wide open I could floor it off idle and dead hook at the track. Once I switched to 3" TDs with an X and Edelbrock 304 SDTs I must have picked up some more low end because at the next track outing with the same track prep I was blowing the itre away off idle and had to modulate the throttle a bit to hook...The shop (Performance Auto Fab, a sponsor here>>>>>) told me I'd pick up some botoom end with the X and I believe them...

That is also what I am going to do so it would probably weight about the same as a y pipe and a catback... It's not that they sound better it's just w/ the exhaust being dumped under the car the inside sound will be loud..like forget having a peaceful conversation lol but that's how I like it

I had mine routed out of the sides right behind the doors...The pipes are back cut under the car a few inches to not look "red neck" and the sound is great, not too loud...

I would second that you might see maybe a tenth and mph or two, nothing to drastic but there should be a gain.

Redneck..I'm offened. J/K. I like it quiet inside also but it's just a weekend warrior. ABA383 I thought I seen some pictures of your setup on here once before. Was that you or someone else? I tried searching it but for some reason my server wasn't doing its J.O.B. So, does anyone have any dyno proven power???

Hahaha...I have a thread posted awhile ago when it was dumped before the axles...I wanted to quiet it down a hair so we went out the sides...I'm pretty redneckish myelf, so I've offended me too...I wouldn't use the bullets only because they are so loud...The Edelbrocks flow great and are only 3 5/8" thick...Guys around here are in the 8's and 9's with them...

I put in sound deadening/dampening material a while back for stereo purposes but, it also makes a big difference in combating that drone from the X-pipe and bullets. Back when I first put on that exhaust I was very much stock-ish. I had CAI, LT4 KM, 160 stat, & Hypercrap tune. I added the long tubes & x-pipe setup and it took me from 274hp/304tq to 282hp/318tq.
