I've got the same thing...Went to the track last week, then backed the car out to load it up, and now it does this...WTF.
Have you pulled a valve cover? Just to check things over?

What would I be looking for when pulling the valve covers? Regarding my current problem. For the record, I still think its opti.

Valve adjustment? Make sure all the pushrods are where they're supposed to be

Pull your car into the garage, pop the hoop with it running. Turn garage lights off and look around the motor to see if your wires are arching.

Someone is upset!!1 lol.

I had the same problems and it seem to fix it when i bought an msd cap and rotor rebuild. BUT the problem came back a few weeks later....so i guess thats no help. sorry
