That's a really good 60 foot time. It seems that the car is laying down up top though, in relation to the short times. Usually mid 1.6's in the 60 foot equate to bottom 12's/high 11's. Might want to check your fuel pressure. Possibly the stock RS pump is pooping out after a few seconds.

edit..I see you are running a 255lph pump, so there goes my theory, lol. I would try to get it scanned during a pass with a wideband sensor. Something isn't right up top in the run.

^^^Yea they are lighter. What RPM u shifting at? I gained alot of mph with only opening up my shift points. Did you have the car tuned or do you tune it yourself?

It has a mail order tune but its pig rich. My limiter is set at 5800 so i shift around 5700. My car does feel weak in third gear but its only a three speed so I thought it felt like it should pretty much.

2 problems I see. The 60 foot time you have is strong. You *should be running something like this based on the 60:

60'----1.68
330'---5.00
1/8th--7.75ish
mph----88ish
1000---10.10
1/4----11.95ish
mph----110ish

You are shifting too low. The cc306 makes great power up top. Shift it at 6200-6300 all day. Your 60 foot time will be the same because your car won't even be near the 1-2 shift at 60 foot. You are short-shifting it, which is certainly less-abusive, but not good for a low E.T.

You need a better tune on it. If you can smell, or visibly see (tailpipe) that the tune is pig rich, chances are it's hurting you big time.

Fix the tune, and ditch the rev limiter, and go run some 11's.

I'm in no way saying that they aren't lighter but man it sure is hard to believe with those 400 pound doors and all of those extra accessories on the front of the engine. I wonder how much lighter?

Damn 6700 scares me a lil bit. Is it safe to go to 6700 on the stock bottom end?? In the cam description it said 1800 to 5800 i will try it. Do I have to get it retuned to reset the limiter?

I can't understand why someone would set the limiter that low in the first place. Bone-stock LT1's can rev higher than that. FWIW i had a cc503 cam (less than the 306) and it liked to be shifted around 6200. Go change your oil to a good synthetic, may help your bottom end worries, can't hurt. What mail order tune did you go with? i can't see Ion or Herter setting the rev-limiter that low when you told them you were running the 306 cam. You DID tell them you were running the 306 cam didn't you? I am thinking the tune you have isn't set up at all for your cam. That's probably why it's pig-rich like you said, and rev limiter is low. Those guys can nail a tune like that with the mods you have, they've probably done 100 of them easy.

It was a guy named dana from LT1wiring.com. Yea I told him what cam i was running, I sent him a list of all of my mods. He said he will retune my computer for free as long as I own the car.

I did it all the time when I was cam only and had no problems. The motor is going in a friends car now. I'm not going to tell you that you won't have problems, but I never did.
