sounds like you have a good first mod planned out, making it slower i have herd stories of high hp t56 camaros breaking the clutch apart or something like that and causing damage to the car and feet/legs. not sure about that but i am sure someone that has had it happen will chime in

Very good point man, as for making it slower , hmmm, I myself don't think you could use more than 500 hp ON THE STREET, so going with a T56 will sure slow it down but will still have enough to enjoy I think. I've seen camaros with 800 hp and a T56, I don't have that much power yet but I know I need a built T56 for this setup.

3800 stall, no lockup, no OD, 3.73 is all the reason you need to tow it. I daily drive a 3400 stall and there are 3.73s but lockup and OD make a HUGE difference. On a long drive like that with that much unlocked stall overheating the tranny would be a concern aside from the noise.

Not to mention snow has arrived in the upper midwest, about the time you think you are going to drive it you will hit inclement weather and be in a world of trouble.

2nd, you're gonna have to factor in that running a 6 speed will give you less drivetrain loss and you will actually be putting more power to the wheels vs. the stalled auto. This could give you some problems racing, even on the street. I would first put money into the rear end of the car, if it doesn't already have modifiactions. A 10 bolt surely won't handle 600hp through a T56 for long.

Good luck with the car, sounds like a good buy!
