Then I installed 3.73's and I'm back down to 22. The city is good if you drive sensible. but if you like the blasting of lights and roasting the tires. Then mpg should not be a factor in your quest for power.
how does that work necessarily?

Tuning is key for keeping a good mpg with a cam.

Of course most of us did not buy these cars for mpg, however some on here might not be able to drive and enjoy there cars as much if the gas prices keep rising as fast as they are.

when the car is your daily driver and you drive about 200-300 miles per week, mileage tends to be important. and some might say "well why not get a 4 cylinder". i enjoy driving this car, its a great all round car

well in that case we should be able to keep our cars and instead vote for a presidential candidate that can eliminate war in the middle east and these artificially inflated oil prices

My wife bitches at me for my leadfoot depleating the gas when I drive her car. I tell her that she measures fuel usage by mpg (miles per gallon). I then tell her that I measure fuel usage by fpg (fun per gallon). I have always said that the day I worry about mpg is the day I dont need to be driving anymore. I sympathize with your 200 to 300 miles per week, just get a nice little v6 that sips gas and drive the Firebird on the weekends or whenever. Good luck.
