lol okay well by the time i get a cam ill be doing a complete motor rebuild which will involve a 383 so im not worried about cams I just wanna know if I got everything that is needed for a header install or if I should go w/ a different brand or whatnot. But the headers (brands) are pretty much set in stone

how hard IS it to install a cam? i'm under the impression it's quite a big job, considering you have to tear down the entire motor...

I'm probably going to be selling my emissions version Pacesetter longtubes. Just some minor rust. The y-pipe is dual catted too. Might help you keep your project cost down.

well then i'd have to recoat the headers and paying for shipping + the recoating would probably make it more expensive than the 375 theyre on sale for now. Thanks though

Yeah, not too much more work Just take off the CAI,the intake, valve covers, rockers, water pump, opti, fans, drain the coolant, radiator, a/c condenser, fans, balancer, raise the motor, take the oil pan bolts off, drop the pan, take the timing cover off, remove the lifter tray, remove the lifters, take out the oil pump drive, remove the timing chain, then just swap the cam, easy as pie. With the LT4 cam you'd pick up another 20 or so horse.

why go with 2.5 instead of 3? I don't see the reason to drop it down its already 3 in the collector plus since I'll be eventually going w/ 383 package or 355 w/ FI so I'm making the exhaust now so I don't have to do it again

and regardless a 2.5" dual exhaust will be equivalent to a 3" single and a 3" dual will be equivalent to a 3.5" single exhaust and I know people that are close to stock running 4" mufflex system
