Who says you can't make an LT1 fast?

Very nice ride...Its nice seeing fast LT1s...Are you keeping the track times a secret? Just curious because I've thought of switching out my 11:1 JEs for something around 8.5:1 and going the Procharger route...I want to see if its worth the trouble or just leave well enough alone...

I used MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 11. There are lots of good ones to choose from out there like Pinacle.
Yeah, I am keeping them hush hush for now, as my best times so far don't reflect what I believe the car is capable of. If it makes any difference, I can tell you that my ET is faster, and my MPH is higher than yours in your sig.
Hooker LT's, into a Hooker Y-pipe, into a Borla catback.
Going boosted correctly (and what I mean by that is that the motor is fully forged, and I spent the tens of thousands needed to have everything done right to take the power) is very expensive and time consuming. If you have the budget for it, and you have the patience, it can be something that turns your fun car to drive, into an addiction that makes me almost miss sleep at night because I am not driving it. I would absolutly do it again!
Here's a general breakdown;
383, LT1
AFR 180 heads fully ported by TPIS
Custom 244/254 @.050, .578/.578 lift, 114* LSA
Comp Cams Pro Magnum chromoly rocker arms
Diamond Pro Select rings
Lunati Sledgehammer Crankshaft
Oliver Billet Rods
LPE 58mm TB
Mototron 60# Injectors
MSD Blaster Coil, MSD Digital 6,
Stock PCM dyno tuned by PCM's for less
I spent over $12,000 for the 383 to be rebuilt for the supercharger, another few thousand on the D1SC, add the fuel system, the 12 bolt, the clutch, the FMIC, the methanol injection, the driveshaft and everything else needed to properly take the power and you are talking $20,000+ in getting the car to this point. None of that even includes the suspension to make it actually hook up in 1st gear with 614 to the wheels. You can cut corners and go cheeper by using parts like "Eagle" or "Summit" instead of the top dollar stuff like "Oliver" and "Lunati", but I wanted everything to be top notch. Even if you go with cheeper parts this certainly is not cheep to do.

Hahahaha..If your ET wasn't quicker and your MPH wasn't higher making almost 240 more rwhp than me I'd drive that thing off a cliff...Going with a FI set up was always something I considered because I already have a Callies crank, and Oliver billet steel 5.85" rods...I'm sure they could take the added power of a supercharger...I'd need a fuel system and lower compression JEs...Probably less gear and stall than my current N/A set up calls for, but not totally out of the relm of possibility...Looks like fun...good luck with everything...

That is one bad *** car. Makes me wish I would have kept my 95 Z28. The money I have spent on my LS1 already, and the payments each month, would have gone a long way on my LT1. I love the look of LT1's and the sound of them gives me a hard on. Hopefully some day I will be able to afford the build of a car as bad as yours.

Again Ben that's a big *** cam! LOL! Hey Eagle isn't cheap! I've got an Eagle billet crank and rods...so there! J/K w/ ya man. I'm surprised that thing doesn't spin faster w/ 3.73's in the rear...I just may keep mine back there but mine is more like 4.10's due to my M29 tranny so we'll see.
I guess I'll see you next time you come through but if not I'll try and see you in 6 mos or so do a photo shoot.
